The Resurrection Fern
Its Amazing Adaptation:The resurrection fern’s adaptation is that it survives through
drought and it defends itself from heat most plants die from losing 8-12% of their water but the resurrection fern can lose 76-97% of water and they survive. Some people say their adaptation is it rises from the dead. Resurrection ferns adaptation helps them to survive from the heat because if the plant didn’t have that adaptation the plants leaves would be burnt. If they didn’t have that adaptation they would be dead by the drought because they won’t have any water to get the nutrients. Most plants would be dead by the drought because they won’t have any water and the plants leaves would get dry and the leaves might fall off but the resurrection fern but the resurrection fern will still go back to life. This plants habitat is near oak trees, this plant needs another plant to wrap around on. This plants habitat is in a variety of habitats. You can find it in parks etc. this plant can rise from the dead when only a little bit of water goes on it. A resurrection fern is an air plant it doesn’t grow prom the ground. |
